CryptoLogic, Grand Virtual offer Kismet / Cantor Gaming, Software and 3Dice casino solitaire, where you move a fixed part of your first bet to win for each card to the foundation piles. With a possible player edge and a reasonable variance, the game can be useful for bonus game. However, play a lot slower than other casino games, and there is no known optimal strategy.
Rules and Play
Casino solitaire played with a single deck of cards. After selecting a bet, the cards are dealt. 24 cards go into the deck, which is called the “heap”. The remaining 28 cards are arranged in 7 columns of length 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 show the top card in each column upward, and the remaining cards are hidden.
The aim of Casino Solitaire is to move all 52 cards to the “piles” in the upper right corner. With each card that goes into the foundation pile, a fixed amount of a little under 1/10 of the output is usually bet, you win. In order to make a profit, you must move at least ~ 11 cards to the foundation piles. You do not need to move all 52 cards to get a payout.
The cards in the foundation piles are grouped by suit and must be placed in order of increasing rank. An ace is the lowest card and a king is the highest rank card. So the first card in a foundation pile must be an ace, and the last card must be a king. Only the visible map at the top of the pillars and the visible map at the top of the heap can be moved to the pillars. To access and view the hole cards, you can move cards from one column to another, as long as they are ordered by a reduction in rank and alternating suit color. If a red King is the visible map at the top of the column can be placed a black queen on top. After the black queen is the top card, a red socket can be placed on top of it, and so on. Each time you move a card, the path of the descending cards are also moved. If a column is empty, a king can be moved into the room, starting a new column. You can also move cards from the stockpile to the columns or piles. If you can not or do not want to take a train, you have the choice to discard the top card in the deck and the card underneath. If you play the new top card, your card is rejected previous the new top-Talon card.
An “undo” button is available, which can be a useful tool. It’s specific function varies between software. With Cryptologic software, the Undo button undoes the previous step. This includes a discard pile, but does not turn on a column map. Take a Talon card and loosening the tray provides a player to peek at the next card. The Kismet undo button undoes also a train, but can not be undone Talon throws. The Grand Virtual undo button undoes any number of movements to reveal the last card.
If you have not played solitaire before, these rules are probably not clear. I recommend playing a few rounds in practice mode to get a feel for the game before playing for real money.
Jackpot – Kismet Jackpot Vegas Solitaire is a Progressive Jackpot bonus if you move all 52 cards successfully. The size of the jackpot varies over time and depends on your initial bet size as well.
Win: Bet Ratio – Various casino solitaire games have different profit rates. Kismet and Cryptologic pay (1 / 10.4) * bet size with each card moved to the foundation pile. Grand Virtual pays (1/11) * bet size for the comparison game.
Column Builds – Grand Virtual Vegas Solitaire does not allow you to break down the center of a column. You must specify either the full column or nothing about it. Other games you can break the column.
Move Cards Off foundations – Grand Virtual Vegas Solitaire does not allow you to map out the foundation pile to move it back to the column. Other games you can move cards from foundations.
Cards per draw – Most casino solitaire games, through the dump 1 card you draw at a time. Grand Virtual offers “3-card” games, where you draw three cards from the talon at a time. You are only able to use the top card of the three, and you can rotate through the card 3 times.

This paper from Stanford University suggests that no one knows the optimal strategy or optimal house edge for the casino solitaire. Some general strategy tips are below:
1 If stuck, you should use the cards to the foundation pile and swap cards between the hands. If some cards are left with a win, you can isolate missing color maps to a certain column.
Second thought as many moves ahead as possible, instead of just the current game.
3 Follow the discards, particularly in low-ranking key cards.
4 Do not disable a column, unless a king available to move the empty space.
Grand Virtual Golf Solitaire game has a deterministic strategy. With a computer, the choice could determine at any point with the best chance of completion. A basic strategy is to count the number of moves with each possible choice, and choose the highest with the value. A more complex strategy is to start backwards and look at the combinations of the storage place cards that can be completed the order, then work your way to the start. That would be difficult with out a computer.
As I said above, the house edge of solitaire with optimal strategy is unknown. With the way I played, I average ~ 10.5 cards moved to the foundation piles. I have not played enough games played to this. Exact number for a 10.5 cards results in a house edge of ~ 4.5% with 1 Grand Virtual Card Casino Solitaire, ~ 0% with Cryptologic Casino Solitaire and a major player edge with Kismet Jackpot Vegas Solitaire. The size of the edge on the Kismet game varies with the size of the jackpot. The CEO of Kismet has confirmed that the game may a player edge with the words: “This is an interesting game for the players, as there is no known mathematical model, which prophesied the payout rate for Solitaire With the progressive jackpot recommend simulations. that experienced players may have a slight advantage over the house. ”
Based on personal play, I guess, a standard deviation of 0.95 per game … similar to Baccarat and significantly less than blackjack.
With typical solitaire games, most meetings have a net dividend, which is between 40% and 100% of the original bet. The maximum profit is usually ~ 5 times the original bet size (without progressive jackpot bonus) and occurs in the rare cases where the game and make 52 cards to the foundation piles. They are several losing bets units prior to completion the game and getting the large ~ 5x victory.
